Together We Stand Foundation pays tribute to families of deployed personnel

It was a happy event when local families of deployed Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members accepted Family Gift Boxes courtesy of the Together We Stand Foundation at a ceremony Dec. 11 at the South Side Community Centre. Several local businesses contributed gift certificates and more to fill each box.

The Together We Stand Foundation was created to recognize, thank and pay tribute to military families, demonstrating that thanks and recognition through Family Gift Boxes for each CAF family separated from their loved ones during the holidays.

The foundation works in partnership with the Department of National Defence and Support Our Troops.
