2019 Petawawa Santa Claus Parade

By Patricia Leboeuf

Posted on Thursday December 19, 2019

Santa Claus made an early stop in Petawawa, spreading joy and cheer. The 2019 Santa Claus Parade was held Nov. 17 and followed the traditional route starting from the Wolfe Avenue Plaza, down Mohns Avenue, Doran Road and up Herman Street to Murphy Road before ending up at the Civic Centre. There, children and children-at-heart could meet with the Jolly Man in Red. Though the Town of Petawawa took over planning from the Pembroke Petawawa Lions Club, nothing was changed. Just like every year, the parade consisted of dozens of decorated floats as well as dancers, walkers, dogs, and horses, all wearing their Christmas best and handing out treats. This year’s theme was the “Days of Christmas - Past, Present and Future” and the overall best float was won by the Petawawa Heritage Village.
