Its been such a beautiful and happy week for me and I would like to thank everyone for a great birthday week. It’s not everyday that a person turns the big 70 years and I must say, I am very blessed in my life. The trip to Niagara and the surrounding area was a fun week and I got to see all of the sights. Of course, we had to check out many of the fine wineries in the Niagara Area and do some shopping.
Activities at the club have been going well and consistently during the summer months for the membership. We have been enjoying Tuesday afternoon Bingo and the Jackpot is a robust one these days. Bingo is played at 1 p.m., so come out and spend a nice afternoon with friends. We always serve tea, coffee and pop, along with food items.
Don’t forget that Zumba is one of the newest activities at the Club at 10 a.m. on Mondays. Bridge is played every Monday at 1 p.m. Tuesdays is Bingo at 1 p.m., with Bid Euchre at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. is Weight Watchers. Thursday morning at 9:15 a.m. is Yoga and Acrylic Painting. Friday is all day Quilting beginning at 9 a.m. Regular Euchre takes place at 7 p.m. and a reminder that we always have refreshments and food with most activities.
We are planning a road trip and we will e-mail everyone with the details once everything is set up. It’s tough to plan things these days, due to the fact that we don’t have a bus company in town anymore. We are doing our best to try and set up a trip for those of you who would like to go to a play or some other activity.
The Seniors Club is located at 1163 Victoria St. in Petawawa. The office hours are: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the e-mail is: firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can phone us at: 613-687-6574. We have air conditioning and an elevator.
Enjoy your summer and I will see you at the Club!
