Well the heat has finally made an appearance, so if you are in need of cooling down, why not drop by the branch and enjoy some beverages and shoot the breeze with friends. Our screened patio is also a great place to relax, listen to the river and enjoy the fresh air.

This Friday our BBQ will be T-Bone steak or smaller eight ounce steak, sausage or foot long hot dogs. They will be served with baked potatoes and salad starting at 4:30 and going to 6 p.m. Open to all so bring the family.

District golf is being hosted by our branch on Saturday, July 22 at the Petawawa Golf Course. Competitors will be returning to the branch lounge in the afternoon for a BBQ lunch. We have eight teams of two competing, so we wish them all good luck in getting to the provincial level.

As work is beginning this week in the hall, we ask patrons to be patient with work trucks and workers coming and going. They are doing work to improve the branch, so let’s help them to finish their work.

If you are looking to get a group together for a pot luck or a BBQ and don’t want to cook, why not hold it at the branch? You can hold it in the downstairs lounge for free and use the BBQs for only a donation toward propane. Great place to avoid the mess at your house.
