For those who have been unable to attend our BBQs because they are in the lounge, then this week is for you. This Friday the 28th, the BBQ will be in the upstairs hall, allowing easy access for all. On the menu is beef or chicken kebobs, hamburgers and foot long hot dogs with salads. Open to all so bring the family. You can still take your meal downstairs to the lounge if you wish.

We had a great day for the District Golf on the 22nd. Petawawa won both regular and senior divisions and second in ladies so we will be very well represented in Provincials in Petawawa on September 9. Thanks to Zita, Cindy, Glenn, Pat, curly and Gord for the BBQ after at the branch.

Work continues in the hall and hopefully will be finished this week. It will be a nice fresh look along that wall.

Summer was nice for the few days we had. It is pouring as I write this and while the next few days improve, the overnight lows are not very July-like. We invite you come out to the branch and enjoy our enclosed patio that will keep you shaded to enjoy the sound of the river or stay in the lounge to enjoy air conditioned comfort. Everyone welcome so drop in.

If you have children attending post secondary education or you as a member are, why not apply for a Legion bursary? Applications can be picked up at the branch or call our bursary chairman Pat Perry at 613-687-4131 for more information. Every little bit helps.
