Its hard to believe that another week has gone by and what a sunny week it has been for everyone. Lots of people are enjoying the nice weather and listened to music and had a walk at the waterfront in Pembroke. This is a fantastic venue for everyone and it is such a pretty place. Music starts at 7 p.m. every evening.

Come out to the Seniors Club during the summer months and enjoy such activities as: Zumba on Mondays at 10 a.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m. Tuesdays is always Bingo at 1 p.m. and this is a fun afternoon with food and refreshments. Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. is always Bid Euchre for card players. Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. is Weight Watchers downstairs. Thursday mornings we have Yoga at 9:15 a.m. and Painting upstairs at 10 a.m. Fridays is all day Quilting and Friday evening is regular Euchre at 7 p.m. Of course, the fitness room is open on a regular basis during the day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There are tickets available for the Stone Fence Theatre performance in October and the cost is $50, that includes the play and a delicious meal. The bar is open for a glass of wine or a beer with your meal. This is a spectacular time of the year when the valley is alive with fall colours. The bus will pick us up at the club and bring us back after the play.

The winners of the Tuesday evening Bid Euchre were: Mary Stevens, Richard Bourque, Jay Jones, Helen Moores. The winners of the Friday evening Euchre were: Gabe Tosello, Vern Stressman, Doris McCutcheon, Jeanette McKay, Mary Stevens.

Falls Prevention - In the Living Room and Bedroom: Reduce clutter, get rid of loose wires, cords and other obstacles. Use the cordless phone or cell phone. Get rid of them or make sure they are non slip. Move slowly out of your bed or chair as getting up suddenly can cause you to become dizzy.
