Often repeated is the fact that there is always support to be found at the Garrison Petawawa Triathlon. This was proven to be true several times over. Michelle Scantland receives a high five from Janice Clouthier as she exits the pool area. (Photo by Patricia Leboeuf, Petawawa Post)

About 70 Triathletes gathered at Dundonald Hall on June 18 to take part in the Third Annual Garrison Petawawa Triathlon. The yearly event challenges dedicated athletes with 750 m of swimming, 20 km of cycling and 10 km of running. Budding racers could also choose to form a team, or do half the distance in the ‘Try-a-Tri’. The community event marks the start of the race season, and is hosted by the Petawawa Triathlon Club, part of Personnel Support Programs (PSP), and run by volunteers. Next year’s event will be held on June 17, 2017.
