Everyone is Irish on St Patrick’s Day. Join us at the branch this Saturday, March 17 starting at 3 p.m. with Michel Smithers playing for your listening pleasure. Irish stew will also be on when you get hungry. From 8 p.m.-midnight, the Fifth Street Band will be playing to keep the party going and there will be a late snack and spot dances as well. Open to everyone age of majority.

This Sunday, March 18 is the General Meeting starting at 3 p.m. Members are asked to attend as we have items to pass on. It is your branch, so have your say.

Do you know someone going to post secondary school this fall? Are they the son/daughter/grandchild of a Legion member or Veteran? Then they are eligible to apply for a Legion bursary. Bursaries are $750 and would help with purchase of books or tuition. Application forms can be found on the Ontario Command Legion website or picked up at the branch. With the cost of post secondary education, every little bit helps. Applications need to reach command by 30 March so get them in soon.

Members of the LA are reminded of your General Meeting on Tuesday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Catch the Ace has reached the $12,000 mark. Even the consolation for the week has reached a healthy amount. Everyone 18 and over can play. Drop in to the Legion during regular bar hours starting at noon to buy your ticket and pick the number that you believe is the lucky envelope. We are down to 25 cards so the odds are getting pretty good. Draw is every Friday at 6 p.m.

Come in for fish and chips on Fridays from 5-6:30 p.m. pick up your ace ticket and enjoy your meal. We do take out and full or half meals. We will be open for fish and chips on Good Friday so bring the family. Everyone welcome.

Wednesday soup and sandwich continues from 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. so drop in to the hall for a tasty lunch. Open to all.
