Falls Cause Serious Injuries: In older adults, falls typically cause hip fractures and head injuries. They are also the leading cause of death and injury, often from traumatic brain injury.
Even if an injury isn’t life threatening, falls have harsh long-term consequences for older adults because their bodies usually aen’t able to recover fully. They can end up needing extended stays in nursing homes or assisted facilities or a significant amount of in-home help. Be careful out there and stay safe.
The Seniors Club is located at 1163 Victoria Street, Petawawa. You can phone the Club at 613-687-6574 and e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
