OPP confirm missing teen Trinity Poil found in
Ottawa River

LAURENTIAN VALLEY - The search for 16-year-old Trinity Poil has come to a tragic conclusion after police identified a body found in the Ottawa River as that of the missing Petawawa teen.

Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to a report on May 9 around 5 p.m. of unidentified human remains in the river in Laurentian Valley Township.

A post-mortem was conducted and concluded with results released to the public on May 14.

Poil was the subject of a massive search after she was reported missing from her home on Garrison Petawawa in February 2019.
