Youth Reporter Competition: Time to vote for your favourite story! 
Last fall, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Newspapers* invited youths from military families between 13 and 18 to take part in this new and exciting Youth Reporter Competition for a chance to win a grand prize package and scholarship valued at $2,500.

of patients avoiding a likely Emergency Department visit
Early data shows that 74% of patients assessed by the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (RC VTAC) would otherwise likely visit an Emergency Department and/or call the 9-1-1 Service to address non-emergency health concerns.

Jason Blaine Charity Concert and Golf Tournament
Cancelled Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

The Jason Blaine Charitable Fund committee has announced that Blaine’s annual charity concert and golf tournament has been cancelled this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The two-day event had been scheduled for June 16 and 17 at the Pembroke Memorial Centre and Pembroke Golf Club.

PEMBROKE - For the most vulnerable in our community who are living with mental health and addiction issues, the COVID-19 pandemic is further escalating needs around safe housing, social isolation and food security.

RENFREW COUNTY VIRTUAL TRIAGE AND ASSESSMENT CENTRE ASSESSES APPROXIMATELY 1,500 PATIENTS SINCE GO-LIVE
The Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (RC VTAC) has now assessed approximately 1,500 patients since it launched on March 27, 2020. Care is provided 24/7 by a physician, community paramedic and/or nurse practitioner to Renfrew County residents who do not have a family physician or cannot access their family physician.

Pembroke:  The County of Renfrew has been notified of the first case of 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-2019) involving a County of Renfrew employee who works at Miramichi Lodge.  Laboratory testing was used to confirm this diagnosis.

The requirement to self-isolate and keep physical distance makes it even harder than usual to ask for and receive emotional support — particularly for those living with mental illness.
