available at Garrison Petawawa

The annual Canada Army Run saw significant changes this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of cancelling the run, which is presented by BMO Bank of Montreal and touted as one of the most inspiring events in the country, race organizers decided to instead turn the Army Run into a virtual event. Participants were invited to run the various race routes close to home instead of coming together in Ottawa, signing up for the event at armyrun.ca and registering for the distance of their choice. Those looking for a route to complete the Army Run 2020 locally can look no further than Garrison Petawawa. A team from 2 Combat Engineer Regiment put together marked routes on the Garrison to provide participants with a race-like route - inviting anyone interested in taking part to come anytime between September 12 and 19 to enjoy the wonderful views while helping with the Canada Army Run’s primary goal of assisting Support Our Troops and Soldier On, charities that provide support to ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, and military families in need. The start point is at the Petawawa Golf Club. We encourage everyone participating in the race to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols. Route maps can be found on the 2 CMBG Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/2CMBG/
