Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network (CPAN) received a $410 donation through a four-month long fundraiser at Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) in Pembroke. By donating a toonie, employees could vie for a car detailing package, courtesy of Splash Auto Care. Winners were drawn every month from January to April, and the total amount was officially presented to CPAN on May 31. This money will be put towards the organization’s Operation Snowsuit, which collects winter gear for children of all ages and sizes. Last winter, a record-breaking 411 young people received support through this program, and donations of warm clothing and money is always welcome. Holding the cheque are (left to right) Senior Manager of Operations Tyler Hayes, Co-Owner of Splash Auto Care Jack Lapierre, April’s Winner Robert Johnson, Regional Training and Quality Manager Angela Smart and CPAN Coordinator Lyn Smith.
