Recently we had an accident where a member was walking at a fast pace from the parking lot on a rainy morning. She tried to step up on a curb, mis-stepped and fell, hitting her knee. As a result she was drenched, limping into the building.

Lessons learned:

There is no need for rushing, the member could sit in her car until the rain eased up;

It is a good idea to have an umbrella or a rain coat during wet weather;

Always watch your steps and make sure the way is clear;

During inclement weather, try to be early so you don’t have to rush.
