The Petawawa Catholic Women’s League currently has CWL convenor positions to be filled in Organization and Community Life. Thank you to Patricia who recently took over the Card Ministry and is doing an excellent job.

Our members enjoy receiving these cards and know they are not forgotten, especially during this pandemic.

Our Visiting Committee that we hoped to organize has been put on hold for the time being.

The CWL Religious Article Store will be re-opening after Thanksgiving. It will now be open after the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass only. Eva will be happy to see you all.

We will continue to collect items for newborn babies that we donate to the Pembroke Regional Hospital. This Fall we are unable to hold our usual Baby Shower for the collection of baby items. Therefore, we are taking donations and they can be brought to one of our monthly meetings or dropped off at the Religious Article Store after it opens. Items needed are: diapers, sleepers, bibs, onesies, receiving blankets, facecloths, sweater sets and unscented baby wipes.  The hospital prefers we don’t include lotions, oils or soaps.

CWL Membership fees can be placed in an envelope with name, address, phone number and email address. The envelope can be placed in the collection basket at Mass or given to a member of the CWL Executive.
Sadly, we cannot hold our Christmas Tea and Bazaar this year due to the pandemic. The event will be missed by Parishioners and the general public.  Our event was our biggest fundraiser and  we will need to find some alternative venue.

The Pembroke Diocesan Council annual Fall meeting is being held on October 17 at the Cathedral. President Julie Mallory will attend from our Petawawa league.
