PSP Monster March will be held during last week of October

GARRISON PETAWAWA - This year’s Monster March Trail is open to Garrison Petawawa Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, their families and the general public. This event is meant to encourage everyone in the community to get outdoors and actively participate in a festive annual event.
With the possibility of Halloween being interrupted this year due to the presence of the COVID-19 virus in Renfrew County, the Monster March Trail provides a fun and safe alternative for community members to participate in a Halloween- themed activity.
The Monster March is a five kilometre family-friendly Halloween themed walk, march, or jog throughout the Garrison Petawawa Fitness trail and Festubert Boulevard.
Participants may print or download the activities from www.CAFconnection.ca/Petawawa to do while taking part in the march or just enjoy the festive decorations while walking the trail.
The walk itself will be available at all hours throughout the final week of October to the general public. There will be no specific event date or kick-off event this year to ensure the number of community members using the trail at any given time remains within the Stage Three Re-Opening Protocols and Recommendations currently put in place by the Government of Ontario.
The route will consist of a number of sub-themed areas which will include but not be limited to: the grave yard, spiders nest, ghostly hauntings and toxic waste spill.
Participants are welcome to dress in costume while walking the trail and are encouraged to take pictures and send them in for a chance to win our Monster March Photo Contest.
• Photo must be taken along the Monster March Trail.
• Photo must be submitted to RecPlex@forces.gc.ca.
